The new Hi-Point 995 Carbines are a hit at SHOT Show!

I just got back from the 2010 SHOT Show at the Sands Convention Center in Los Vegas. This was the twentieth SHOT Show that Hi-Point has attended. Dealer turnout was very good and the response to the new 995 Carbine series was enthusiastic. They especially liked the newly designed skeleton style stock. I have to admit, this new 995 Carbine has quite an attitude.

As you may know, Hi-Point is a strong supporter of firearm safety training. I spoke with a number of conceal and carry and firearm safety instructors at the show and they pointed out that the 995 Carbine chambered in 9mm is really a great transition firearm.

It’s a good choice for people who want to move up from 22s up to a larger caliber without going all the way to the high-powered calibers like a 30-06. It’s inexpensive, rugged and the recoil is very comfortable. Besides, it’s just a lot of fun to shoot and the more you shoot the more proficient you become.
